Caesar essay
Have you ever questioned your friendship with someone? I know that I have. In Julius Caesar Brutus has trust issues with Julius which causes trouble for everyone. Caesar learned that you should trust your friends that you know for sure are on your side because he was too trusting and he hurt the people around him.
I know that he was blinded by his ego and that he didn’t know they were going to betray him. However these reasons show that he was kind, sure he had an ego but what leader doesn’t it helps them through rough times. He trusted them so much that he was blind to their plot.
Caesar was way too trusting. He says “be near me, that I may remember you (II. III. 815).” This is proof because normal leaders would have body guards and he does not. He instead surrounds himself with people that he says he needs close to him to remember them.
Caesar hurt the people around him. He even says to his wife “how foolish your fears seem now… (II.III. 814).” By going he made his wife worry and then kill herself. He makes Antony feel sorrow and rage.
Caesar was too trusting and he hurt the people around him. That is what taught him about friendship.
